Quick Questions With Lauren: Technical Support Specialist

Written by Mia Campbell | Thu, May 24, '18

Lauren is our devoted customer support guru, which means she spends a good chunk of her day replying to your support queries and is dedicated to making your lives easier. Equal to her love of customer support, is her love of cats. Oh, and she can make a pretty tasty salted caramel cupcake too. We caught up with Lauren to find out what a day in the life is like at SwipedOn, check out what she has to say below!

What does a day in the life of you at SwipedOn look like?

Mornings usually consist of catching up with what has been happening over night with the team in the UK and USA. Part of SwipedOn offering 24 x 5 support means we need to keep ourselves informed with what our team has been working on. Then it is into answering support and technical support tickets and testing any new updates the team has been working on.

What do you like about working at SwipedOn?

That has to be the people hands down! Management have done a great job of selecting great people to help build a culture we can all be proud of (aka #SwipedOnLife).

What do you particularly like about what we’re doing with SwipedOn?

I like that we are a part of the digital movement - helping customers reduce the amount of paper waste that they would otherwise produce with a paper visitor book! And the fact we plant a tree for every new customer is such a cool way to tell that story and give back to the planet.

What three words would you use to describe your role?

  1. Satisfying
  2. Challenging
  3. Evolving

What is your SwipedOn screensaver?

Cats! I loooooove cats.

What did you do in your previous working life?

Previously I was working at Brother International, troubleshooting technical issues over the phone and email.

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy watching Netflix and baking. Also hanging with my kitty cat Monster.

Tell us a little-known fact about you…

Believe it or not… I also like puppies 😂

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

1. Travel to Europe,

2. Buy my own house with enough land to help a whole lot of rescue animals.

If you were stuck on a desert island and you could choose one person from the SwipedOn team to come with you, who would you take and why?

I would choose Zeke because he is funny, sweet and a cuddly ball of floof.
