MacMurray College

Based in Jacksonville, Illinois, USA, MacMurray College is a higher education facility with 500 students using their halls of residence. They faced challenges around ensuring they were compliant with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) guidelines. A paper visitor book was not compliant. To meet requirements, they needed to find an alternative way to handle visitor data for anyone entering and exiting the halls of residence. We spoke to MacMurray College’s Director of Campus Safety & Housing, Aaron, to learn more about how SwipedOn has transformed processes after replacing the paper visitor book.

The Priorities

This higher education facility required a system that would replace their paper visitor book and monitor visitors entering and exiting the premises - and more specifically for those visitors coming and going from the halls of residence - that would remain in line with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) guidelines. When Aaron was looking for an alternative front desk solution for MacMurray College, his three highest priorities were: finding a system with a user friendly interface, confidentiality, and a customisable data collection.

The Results
