Quick Questions with Nicole: Chief Revenue Officer

When she's not heading out for long walks or getting stuck into a bottomless brunch, Nicole is our chief revenue officer here at SwipedOn. Named the UK's number one SaaS sales leader, we're pretty stoked to have Nicole on board. We caught up with her to find out what a day in the life at SwipedOn is like.
What does a day in the life of you at SwipedOn look like?
What do you like about working at SwipedOn?
I always say the same 'cheesy' thing 😆but it's the people. The people that you work alongside bring out the best in you, so it's important to me to work alongside ambitious, driven, motivated people who are invested in the company. Everyone here is super helpful and passionate about what they do - and it's just all round good vibes! What do you particularly like about what we’re doing with SwipedOn?
The thing I like most about SwipedOn is the opportunities; that’s what really drew me to the company as a whole. As a SaaS business, everything SwipedOn is doing is all very appealing and there is so much room to continue growing. We have a great team, a great mindset, customers love us, we have an amazing product - which gives me great foundations to keep growing and scaling. As a sales leader, this is super exciting because I get to drive new initiatives and growth.
What three words would you use to describe your role?
1. Rewarding
2. Fast-paced
3. Forward-thinking
What is your SwipedOn screensaver?
Ummm - just other windows 😆 I never see my screensaver.
What did you do in your previous working life?
I spent the last five years working in London at a global SaaS Company. Over the five years I went from looking after just the new sales team, through to General Manager for the UK where I was responsible for the UK P&L, managing a team of 40 people across sales, partner success & marketing.
Before that I worked as an account manager and did lots of other jobs in call centres, customer support work, hospitality - basically everything and anything under the sun. All of that helped me in sales and customer service, and makes me appreciate that human approach to sales and helping people. That’s why I like SaaS because you're solving a problem - that's the beauty of it. You are genuinely helping with improving someone's day to day in business.

What do you do in your free time?
Right now I would be travelling if I could. If I think about my free time in London, I was always travelling or planning my next trip. I like spending time with family and friends. Love a bottomless brunch or a nice dinner out. I also love working out - going to exercise classes, big long walks and being in nature.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
1. Travel more - I like new cultures, new cuisines. I'd love to do Vietnam, Peru, Iceland or Finland (and stay in a glass igloo!)
2. Pay off my parent's mortgage - or similar - something meaningful for my parents.
3. Build my dream home
What’s on your SwipedOn playlist?
If you were stuck on a desert island and you could choose one person from the SwipedOn team to come with you, who would you take and why?
I would have to choose Mark because he fishes. He's also good at chatting, he's got good banter... Two sales people on an island? We could talk forever!
Let's end this with a weird fact about you...
My last name is made up. It's from a Lebanese background - when my Great Grandad came to NZ, no-one could pronounce our last name so they just made up Brooky.
